WOULD I WISH…
Would I wish I were an empath
And free you of your pain
And brush away your tears
That fall like summer rain.
Would I wish I were an artist
And paint a smiling face
Upon a friend and princess
And a woman of such grace.
Would I wish I were a teacher
And teach you all I knew
Of beauty and of poetry
Of love and kindness too.
Would I wish I were a meadow lark
And sing a song to hear,
And turn a misty day to sun
And dry a toxic tear.
