DOMINO ASLEEP

DominoIn silence I watch you sleep.
Motionless you occupy the love seat
Waking long enough to yawn
Returning yet again to quiet slumber.
But every now and then
I see your feet flick wildly in dream.
What is seen my furry friend?
Are you chased by neighbor dog
Or chase a field mouse through the yard?
The hunted or the hunter…
Whose role is played by you this time?
Now awake to yawn again
And now in quiet slumber.
