A HOME ONCE LOVED
House for sale name your price,
No reasonable offer refused.
It needs a little work
And a little loving care.
I’ll even give to you
My favorite rocking chair.
See my sons and my daughters
Are putting me away
Where the halls are always quiet
And the lawn is nicely mowed.
But the residents I’ll be with
Rarely come to stay.
They’re putting me out to pasture
Before my time is through.
You can have the TV set,
It’s practically brand new.
They’re putting me out to pasture
And I don’t know what to do.
