THE POWER OF A WOMAN!
The power of a woman is a living thing,
shining like a star deep within her spirit,
a gift given at birth by her Creator
meant to be a guiding light for all those who see her.
Nurtured with tender care by all those who teach her,
taught to respect herself the same as she respects others,
that gentle power cradles all the world
in loving arms like a newborn baby.
Each lesson of her life is meant to add to that power,
a magic that surrounds her and leads her slowly
toward the wisdom that her People will be needing;
she is your heart beating.
Treated as an equal she blossoms like a flower,
honored, as she should be
and she will walk in humble beauty always,
lifting her head proudly and making strong decisions.
Once in the long ago it was so among our kind,
the woman’s place was leading, teaching, and guiding,
the healing path of the beloved life giver,
sister to her Mother Earth who held the connection we were feeling.
Through the woman’s blood comes your clan and family,
these are the secrets and the knowledge
that to her children was passed gladly,
and her voice was well heeded.
Knowledge of Mother Earth, the plants, and the seasons,
counting moons and birthing children,
all men respected the power of the woman
and honored her decisions.
Sadly came the time of troubles and the yonega mans fears,
beat her down and treat her bad, and make a slave of her,
steal away her power, though he can never hold it.
So very long it has held and the world is falling down around us,
man has ruled as master and destroyed all the good left within him,
fighting to control the power of the woman.
Softly now it grows a shining living thing,
as woman realizes she no longer must bow to him,
each day brings new strength as she steps forward,
returning to the place Creator set for her.
The beatings and the rapes are only power struggles,
man trying so very hard to take what can never belong to him,
he can only be death bringer his spirit is too angry.
Woman lift your head and gather back your own,
each moon time is a blessing and not the curse that they call it,
this is your connection to all life washed in birth waters.
Man of the People obey the laws of your own kind,
put back the woman in her place as your loving equal
and help in the healing of your Mother,
show honor to her power.
There is no smallness in a man who walks in gentle beauty,
it makes him no less a warrior to honor the life giver:
there is no shame in accepting the wisdom of your women.
Remember the lessons taught of the long ago,
remember the woman’s place was beside and not behind you,
remember you would not be here without a woman’s pain
and the sacrifice of her body.
The power of a woman is a living thing,
shining like a star deep within her spirit,
man of the People set fire to that light and join in the healing
as her gentle power grows and heals the world around you!
