FILLING THE CANVAS!
Set brush to canvas a picture to paint, a story to tell on paper that’s blank, a new born lies in mothers arms, innocence shinning in sweet eager eyes, crumpled red face so wizened and fresh sparks a love beyond any words to express.
Dawn in reds so blushing and young, each moment changing and adding new colors, golden with glory; up rises the sun, over the mountains, seascapes, and forests, greeting mankind with smiling warm love, renewing the hopes of days that are better.
Flowers lift faces to capture their need, grasses now burgeon out growing the weeds, corn and wheat filling the fields, the scent of hay mown perfumes the air, grouse seek out the beans to build a safe home, here too the field mouse feeds her own young.
Crystal blue skies glow over head, filled with the calls of the feathered enjoying the day, glinting and sparking the sun on the water, look so inviting as the day grows hotter, laughter now bubbles as the children come out, chasing their dreams and splashing about.
Puppy dogs bark, and kittens lie sunning, washing their faces with looks that are cunning, butterflies flitter with rainbows of color, while the dragonflies hover, bees busy as ever and humming birds flashing, the willow bows over to wave to the water.
A song is offered by women hanging out laundry, hoping to catch in their clothing that summer time glory, smiling and nodding gently to each other, knowing inside this is belonging, a whistle breaks out from a man feeling pure joy of being out and about.
Together the picture of happiness grows, coloring the canvas as the story is told, a day in the life of those who know living, comes with heartaches as well as sweet pleasures, catching the measure and balancing it well, accepting each other as humankind!
