ZIMBABWEAN MOTHERS

The World Health Organization, Commonly known as WHO
puts out the stats and that begets a picture for me and you
The average Zimbabwean Woman, is dead by age thirty four
figures that are, worse by far, than countries, which are at war!

Hunger and mean poverty – stalk across the land
is he is still in power… perhaps by a sleight of hand?
Bobby, in reality, had no true Zimbabwe plan when he ran
off Zimbabwe’s Farmers and took possession of all their land

He gave them to his buddies who had never milked a cow
who never planted corn or grain and really don’t know how.
It was Once Africa’s breadbasket! It sure went down in haste
and now the crop-less countryside, sits empty – what a waste!

Lifespan for Zimbabwe’s woman – show’s a global best!
If these stats weren’t so very sad, they sure would be in jest!
There is no healthcare treatment, for Zim’s HIV and AIDS
but there is pomp and ceremony – for a grand dictator’s parades!

HARARE, Zimbabwe — Zimbabwean doctors issued an urgent plea Saturday for the government of President Robert Mugabe to rescue the country’s collapsing health services, as research revealed that Zimbabwean women now have the shortest lives in the world.

The average Zimbabwean woman is dying at 34, according to figures released in the World Health Organization annual report for 2006. Zimbabwean men can expect to live only to 37. By contrast, the Japanese, at the other end of the scale, can expect to live to 82.

WHO blamed Zimbabwe’s plummeting life expectancy on AIDS and the near-total collapse of the health-care system
