WHICH REMINDS ME…

Gosh Les I didn’t know he was a Honorary Colonel and head of the Royals
He’s let down our brave troops and that makes my blood boil
Of course Allan Eagleson too, was once a hero to me
Prior to plundering hockey pensions that he did oversee
Should a convicted criminal ex-Canadian in a foreign prison cell
Be permitted to keep our Canadian, highest recognition medal?
He is now an embarrassment to old soldiers like me and like you
Now he’s in a club with Al Eagleson and poor Mr. David Ahenakew
Conman will appeal the giving of the of the distinguished medal back
He has friends in high places who will lay mines in the track –
Retaining the distinguished CM, even though he’s in jail?
Our Governor General will soon end this Rideau Hall mystery tale?
If she thinks he has brought great dishonour upon this High Order?
He will have to give it back soon, at the nearest Canadian Border?
