SNOWY THOUGHTS ABOUT CONNIE’S WINTER WOOD
Me and Joey, we both wisecrack
We split dat wood
We stack and pack
We load dat truck
and we haul dat wood
To our sister Connie’s
Dat’ll make her feel good
We ain’t like old time lumber jack
Who drink high-wine and chew tabac
Dad gave dat horse a liddle whack
When skid dat log along dat track
His old swede saw – it cut real slow
Whilst throwing sawdust on the snow
Joey’s saw has a roaring chain
It slides through wood without restrain
We unload dat truck and with a liddle luck
We go back to Lanark without get stuck!
