SNOW IN SAANICHTON?

A deep blanket covered Saanichton it snowed for a couple of nights
It got real cold in our home because we had no heat or lights
The snow it covered up our car and blanketed our truck
And me and Dick and Paula in our yard we all got stuck!

It covered up Lynne’s potting table
I could not see the top
And it covered up the kids swing set
I wondered, when the snow would stop?

I got the blues I felt real sad
so I wrote long poems, most of them bad
I got emails from those that I love
Ontario gloated, it was 60 above!

Three weeks before we had constant heavy rain
Before the snow and ice both came
And we had leaks up on the roof
The drip drip drop were constant proof!

Some people who live here are full of Bull ___(bleep)
When they say we don’t have to shovel it! (In a heap)
I think global warming may be definitely in retreat? (Ain’t it neat?)
The snow is now melting, we needed the heat! (So sweet)

I have a medical container leaving Keating in a week
gotta pack each medical box.
So if any of you sons-in-law want to talk
You can help this old dad to fill some medical supplies
So I’ll thank you in advance for helping me guys!

The truck leaves Keating on the 18th of December
That is a day that’s easy to remember:
Just another 20 or 30 boxes to pack!
Gotta get that done before we can show any slack!
