SEA OF RED SERGE
Canadian Peace Officers have again bled
Four of our Mounties lay stone cold and dead
National Prayers by the clergy are read
See the marchers, a sea of serge red
Many tears have been cried
for those who have died
as words of comfort are said
was it a grow op or a rural chop shop
that caused the deaths of those four cops?
Or a two billion dollar registry, that doesn’t work,
was that what caused their deaths by this perp?
They’ll give it a number and start a vide
into why these Brave Canadians died
but when this all is done and said
we are left with a picture of a sea of serge red

This painting is dedicated to the fallen members of the RCMP that were killed last week. A man from Ontario did this up for the RC’s and it is being displayed at HQ outside the OC’s office, and later will be transferred to an art gallery in Edmonton for 3 months. (Article dated March 17, 2005)
