BLANDISHMENT

Billy and Lynne WillbondI met her at a New Year's Dance
The gang had all been drinking
She was a very beautiful girl
And that's what I was thinking
I needed a package of cigarettes
So I asked her to come with me
At Coffee Mack's an all night joint
Sitting there we had an epiphany
Her blandishments had won the day
I fell in love the old fashioned way
I went out and bought a ring
And married Lynne that very Spring
It has now been more than forty years
Of happiness, children, laughter and tears
Since the day that Lynne became my wife
Together we've had a wonderful life!
