MOTHER’S OF THE SILVER CROSS – LEST WE FORGET
In fly the body bag draped coffins and then the Padre’s words are said
Canada’s Silver Cross is presented, it’s a thing all Mother’s dread
A Thought of heaven does give comfort to these Mother’s of our dead
O’er the Maple Leaf draped coffins when the Padre’s words are said
Canadian Mother’s have the words of comfort as the Padre’s words are read
On November the 11th Canadians should pause, and honour our Afghan dead!
