WE SHALL OVERCOME
Patriotism, duty, the preservation of freedom, peace and safety of the homeland and family, called because of the person you were, you are; you answered the silent call to learn, to protect. You have faced many struggles in your lifetime, much pain, diversity, and challenges; head on and strong. Your bravery, courage, strength, inner conviction and determination to overcome, has been your life’s ambition. You set life goals, seemingly unattainable so many times, always with overwhelming success. You have faced battle after battle, seemingly extreme: from my viewpoint, unattainable, against all odds, with my doubts and with statements of insurmountable odds against you. You faced every challenge head on; every battle you’ve managed to handle with ease-always winning, overcoming. You never hesitated, never faltered, never allowed adversity to slow you down or discourage you from your goals. You taught me, showed me, proved to me – you are a winner – full of strength and determined to win, succeed, come out victorious. I am proud and encouraged by your show of such attitudes, pride, conviction, determination and your ability to always overcome all obstacles. You now prepare to face the biggest, most dangerous, heavy-hearted battle you have ever had to face. It’s full with seemingly insurmountable odds, hidden dangers; a life or death challenge you prepare to face. You still remain strong in faith of God, in faith of your inner strength, your training and in your life’s values. You are confident in your abilities, in who you are, have always been, in your inner goals, strength. Your thoughts are of your training, your future, of those you love most dearly, of returning after a job well done.
As you walk into this life and death situation, keep your goals and your visions straight. Go forward with both mind and heart in the right place, focused, well trained, and able to conquer yet one more battle. To come out the other side, the hero: to continue to face many more of life’s battles. Life – it’s the biggest, most dangerous WAR you, anyone can face. You will WIN if you face it as many battles – each separate, each winnable, always the conqueror. You don’t have to prove yourself a hero because inside your head and your heart, you KNOW you already are. Along life’s youngest years – you saw and felt much pain, physically and emotionally. You overcame it all; we overcame it all. We learned a lot through some of life’s most difficult situations. At times we felt beaten, lost, hurt beyond our limits, seemingly so heart broken we thought we’d lost. In truth – we didn’t and we won’t. We will go on as great fighters, facing daily obstacles and battles. Life and its experiences, lessons, have indeed been painful, often threatening as if to destroy.
I wouldn’t change, nor re-do, any of it, as it has always been teachings, tests, winnable and attainable. We have fought many odds, many obstacles: so much evil full of much pain. In the realities of looking back on it all, even life’s most painful, discouraging times, we overcame. You might not feel that way about it all; but you are still here, still moving ever forward, facing new battles, new pain and great joyful, happy times. Memories are merely that; gone, they stayed behind, in the past where they were meant to stay. The lessons have moved forward with us; whether painful or filled with joy, love, goodness, fulfilling or disappointing. Each one, merely a battle overcome; moving us all ahead to become heroes, having faced the evils, the challenges, trials, tribulations; this thing called “Life”. We shall over come; we have, we do, we are, we were, we shall, always.
We will win. We are strong enough to face each new challenge because of those battles of the past and what we learned from them. I maintain encouraged, strong in my convictions, my abilities, and my faith in all things, in all situations. Most of all, I remain strong, undefeatable because of you, your love, your persona, your faith, your abilities. I will not succumb even in times of sheer weakness and tiredness. Neither will you. Determination, strength, courage, experiences faced, memories, life training; we were born to fight; born to win, to conquer; we face each new battle.
WE WIN! WE GROW STRONGER! WE GO ONWARD.
