PATRIOTISM
Patriotism, does it live?
American Patriotism – has it died?
Did it jump on the Eagles wings and fly off high into the sky?
Oh please tell me it IS still very much a live!
The displays of the Flag, of the Red, White, and Blue
Seem to be narrowing down to only a few.
I pray that my honor, my pride in them all
Will forever shine brightly in all that I do.
I ask for Unity in our Patriotic show,
Public or private everyone needs to know
The real and true vision of each American: please let Freedom grow!
A worldwide epidemic: one that we all owe.
To share with our neighbors near and far
Let’s all remember we all look on the same stars.
The Heavens above us, the ground underneath our feet
We share it all, One World, isn’t that neat?
Please tell me, I pray,
That Patriotism lives, not just on this day.
Freedom we give, to be shared by all
Liberty she stands, as the proof never to fall.
