RUTH AND THE “FISH LADY”

Eileen and I met for the first time, in person, on a trip to Chicago… I drove down because more than one was coming in for the meet … the Lady whose home some of us were going to stay in, was in a wheel chair, for the most part… and getting to the airport to pick up the other two would have been difficult… anyhow, I arrived then went to the airport to meet Eileen on her arrival… what a beautiful Lady and I knew her right off… after all, she was carrying a sign that gave her away… grin…

That night we went to the horse races and had so much fun betting the horses and getting to know each other… then the next day another new friend arrived, Molly… and we headed for the casino… grin… tell you something about us? … giggle… but we didn’t stay long; we had way too much talking to do…

We were up late chatting away and bonding… finally, it was off to bed… now the trailer we were in was rather small, plenty large enough for friends mind you, but Eileen and I wound having to share an air mattress on the floor… Molly was in the single bed in the same room… and we giggled and chatted ourselves to sleep…

Next morning very early I awoke with the usual morning desires… to pee… and was trying to decide how I could get my old body off that air mattress without awakening Eileen… now mind you I was trapped between her and the wall, so the only way out was to sort of scoot to the end and heave ho upward… this was not something I felt was going to be all that easy to do…

While I was contemplating this process, I feel Eileen turn over, make a soft sigh and then this arm comes around… now what do I do? Oh my, how do I gracefully detach myself now…? And then I am pulled to her and snuggled… now my heart stops and I am ready to start kinking and screaming… remember I have just met this Lady… grin… and then, the bed starts shaking as she is cracking up…

The laughter is bubbling out of her… and I knew I was safe…

Honest everyone… this Lady is a fantastic person and I am so proud to her friend…

So there you have it, the tale is revealed… and there are many more from that visit, what a time we had in those 4 days…
