NEW BEGINNING

After fighting in "just a small conflict", my war did not end
More than a decade in depressive thoughts were spent
Living a life not in pride, more in shame
Then my little baby friend, you came
Your smile and your funny noises
Made me realise I have finally made the right choices
Now it's time to leave the past in the past
And live my life in joyful peace at last
