THE “SHADOW” TRILOGY
Midnight hours in the shadows, I see
Shapes of those long gone before me
Stretching out their hands they plead
They bade me follow where they lead
Until the dawn, I hold them all at bay
And silently as they came, they go away
They follow you; they plead to you
The good deeds that you didn’t do
If a chance is passed to help someone, it’s true
In the shadows someday they may wait for you
Changing their shapes in my sight,
Good deeds not done are the color of night
If there was now a way to atone
The shadows might leave me alone
Some night as the moon rises over the tree
The shadows may get the better of me
If I’m not here in the morning
Just let this be my warning,
Never pass up a chance to do a good deed,
Then there will be no shadows to plead
My friend, listen, and heed
Do not go where the shadows lead
Do not follow where I have gone
It is to a place where you can’t atone

CATCH MY DREAMS
Catch my dreams
they bring nothing but sorrow
don’t let them enter
for they will control
my mind my soul
protect this nest
where I lay my head
erase these images, these visions
bring me peace as I enter into sleep
save me from the wars I’ve lived
the horrors that linger inside me
the nightmares of times passed
take them from me
for they are destroying
all that is good
You are the Dreamcatcher
reliever of torment
restorer of good
silencer of bad
draw them from the night
banish them into never
bringing peace as I rest

Shadows moved in silence
together… on Mission… and so long ago.
Shadows drifting into war
as clouds made of iron…
clouds on fire.
Clouds that are lost, today…!
As memory calling, loses itself in the mystery
of what we did so long ago… Did we…… is Yea…! Yes!
And all the rumbling in our soul.
Artillery of our history…!
……… bullets… and RTO squawk
crackling some death…… distant.
A war, bagged… and tagged,
by history that chose to lie about courage.
A Nation that chose to say no
to those dying…,
keeping watch upon her Soul!
I love her anyway…,
She is my final Lover!
She is my true home… forever…!
