Hey Bob, what a perfect last name,
Humor and entertainment was your game.
Giving HOPE and cheer to so many GI’s,
While thousand of them answered the battle cry.

Since 1941 you entertained the troops,
In faraway places you took your groups.
Just imagine the excitement the soldiers felt,
When pretty young girls made their hearts melt.

You brought a bit of home to oh so many,
Thirty-plus years of jokes a plenty.
You lived to be 100 was that your reward?
HOPE your good deeds are noticed when you meet the Lord.

“Thanks for the Memories” so you said,
But thank you Bob Hope, for the joy you spread.
