TERRORISM

Gary Jacobson: TerrorismTerrorism, a vile affront to all men’s God
Blasphemous in the face of God
A vile act embodied foolishly
Enacted absurdly
Is cowardice personified
From a heart where love has died.

Terrorism, actions boiled in vitriolic hate
Where vestiges of fanatic sanctity berate
Despoiling all humanity
Bitterly scathing insanity
Bearing caustic breath
Carrying the stench of death.

Terrorism, a crime against all humanity
Lies in stark contrast opposition to God’s sanctity
Heinously senseless
Hostilities utterly defenseless
Cankerous disease carcinogenesis
The very precept of peace antithesis.

Terrorism, no answer to realistic aim,
In it perceived wrongs abominate blame
Deceived innately by incarnate evil
Manifest to good men unbelievable
Wields unmitigated wrong
In desecrated harmony this discordant song.

Terrorism, a principle mindlessly cultured
Learned in innocence misguided
Cruel terror striking all civility defiled
Terrorism, an antagonistic contradiction
Breeds in its detestation
Blinding fear to mankind’s soul devastation.

Yet arrogant terrorists gloat impenitent
Of injustice against man and God unrepentant
Reveling in bliss totally ignorant
Celebrating, smiling
In atrocious self satisfaction
Maliciously pleasured by aberration.

Terrorism, spiteful deeds psychologically flawed
From souls eternally damned.
Malevolently by grim evil influenced
A fanatic blow struck against all decency
Cutting with a vicious sword of sins infamy
This sacrilege to morality.

More evidence of man’s inhumanity to man!

A NEW AWAKENING

A New Day Dawn Is Breaking
A new awakening
From a day in which the world cried
A day when the assurance of security died
Through tears of sadness
America torn by despicable terror Godless
Out of the mouth of darkness
One day of weeping
One day of mourning
The fabric of a nation rent
Sounds of terror around the world sent.

A New Day Dawn Is Breaking!
There is a new vigor in this land reborn
Blossoms rising from the heart of the thorn
In renewed spirit
Renewed unity
Renewed patriotism
In this land of the free
From brave brotherhood sworn
Liberty will this home of the brave adorn.

A New Day Dawn Is Breaking!
Americans picked themselves up
Dusted themselves off
Rolled up their sleeves
And with grim resolve began the rebuilding
To a new purpose lives dedicating.
To the precept “This will not stand” resolving.

A New Day Dawn Is Breaking!
Watching TV, I saw Americans working together
Bonding together
In a way I had not seen in far too long
Amid rising strains of freedom’s song
Feeling renewed hope in their country
Moving towards recovery.

America was knocked down
But did not stay down.
We got back up again
Pulled weary bodies through conflagration’s din
As the world watched listening
Through tears of sadness saw a new spirit growing
A New Day Dawn Is Breaking!

It was amazing!
Fire-fighters, policeman, doctors volunteering
Just ordinary people help tendering
Coming forth extending
To their fellow man loving
For this nation baptized in fire and spirit
Would not ever, ever, ever quit!

A New Day Dawn Is Breaking!
This may be the hardest pill
For Osama Bin Laden to swallow,
And the world will send him the bill
For his malicious evil hollow
For he has some big debts to fill
But this hate monger
Made America stronger.
His act of vile terror actually helped America!

A New Day Dawn Is Breaking!
He got Americans again to start pulling
Together
Bonding
Together
Caring
Together
Hoping
Together
Having new purpose united
A partisan spirit for hope of liberty renewed
Supporting
Defending
By patriotic glue brought closer
Which will our nation’s wounds knit faster.

O yes, A New Day Dawn Is Breaking!
So I’d like to give Osama Bin Laden
My hand in thanksgiving
For America invigorating.

With a stick of dynamite in it of course!

Gary Jacobson: A New Awakening

WE THE PEOPLE…

We the people
Of this great land where freedom’s simple
From sunset shadow of terrorist catastrophe
Just huddled masses yearning to breathe free
Seeking peaceful domestic tranquility
Both at home and abroad collective harmony
Now in smoke rising from our own holocaust see
Devastation dealt by cowardice
Terrorism’s fanatical injustice.

We the people
Of this great land of independence ample
Resolve to brand those with amoral depravity
Who struck a death knell to blessed liberty.
For serpents striking with callous bestiality
Shall indeed reap what they have sown
Sowing the wind
And reaping the whirlwind.

We the people
Feel rancid fruits of a carrion seed sown
From hot fevered winds of a desert blown
We will not insidious sin condone
Planted in America’s heart of evil borne
By its despicable carnage our soul’s torn
Our nation humbled
Numbed sensibility gravely decayed
Crumbled from the light of day shadowed.

We the people
Will roll with this cowardly punch
For America wields as eagle’s jaws an awful crunch
To revenge national pride dealt a cheap shot blow
Welding America into an undivided foe.
Terrorists trembling in their cruelty hiding
Will eat fruits of foolish labors abiding
Face inspired patriotism to their cause defiant
For heinous deeds awakened a sleeping giant.

We the people
Can no longer tolerate
Terrorists actions horribly abominate!
America resolves to raise in glory patriotic eyes
To rise
from these pits of despair
Rise in might and glory above hatred’s lair
Bravely ascend from pall unbelievable
Unbearable to good men inconceivable.

We the people,
Will from this affliction rise
Vowing to see that terrorism dies
To forever silence its snarling lies
Quiet the malicious evil of desert despot
Revile fanatics who death to America sought
Aspiring to make America a sordid story
By evil machination to plunder its glory
To demolish the very things that make us free.

We the people
Believing in acts constitutional
True to legislative and representative principle
Saw our very stars and Stripes almost destroyed
Saw defamed evil in brutishness employed
Showing fanatical accursedness
Showing to suffering of others unwashed indifference
Who aimed by barbarity our great nation to cripple
This bastion of fundamental human morality to topple.

We The People

We the people
Once more throw off tyrannical shackles
Meant to bury us…
Never forgetting our countless heroes
Valiant deeds done mid agonizing throes.
We will also remember the men of shame
Whose criminal actions disrespect God’s name
Who tested the fiber of a nation’s will
But with renewed pride, it stands there still.

We the people
Will surely hold nefarious scoundrels accountable
Will hunt them down wherever they might roam
Will find them in field or home.
For those zealots cannot conceive
Will never perceive
Bravery in the strength of America’s pride
Burning in courage deep inside!

We the people
Will burst those crackpots sanctimonious bubble
Quell with force despots who ravage our peace
Bring heartaches that will not cease
Their hostile acts only focused our nation’s anger
The struggle they brought only made us stronger.
We will not give in to them
Our sights zeroed in on them…

We the people
Are dedicated to make of you fiends an example
So look out your window…
You cannot hide from us in your desert burrow.
Just look out your window…
We’ll be there!
To show you pain America’s swift sword will bear.
To show you how much you made us care
By your filthy, despicable, heinous act unfair!

ROLL UP YOUR SLEEVES

Gary Jacobson: Roll Up Your Sleeves

Gary Jacobson: Roll Up Your Sleeves

Gary Jacobson: Roll Up Your Sleeves

Gary Jacobson: Roll Up Your Sleeves

Gary Jacobson: Roll Up Your Sleeves
America, time to roll up your sleeves
To fight for all who for freedom grieves
In liberty in law believes
Restore again that sanctity justice breathes.
Comes again the call to action daunting
Consecrated from America’s brave heart gleaming
To pick another fly from the ointment.
Terrorists spewed from foul-minded abasement
Visited with bitter gall
On us disgorged their venomous vitriol.

America, time to roll up your sleeves
Time to give back what terror conceives
Robbing all sanctity of life a band of thieves
Lurking in darkened shadow where madmen hide
Bearing pretentious religious pride
Those pseudo clerics could not abide
To let America breathe free
So attacked, and signed their warrant destiny.

America, time to roll up your sleeves
Upon our soul though thorny plague aggrieves
Terrorists heralding their own condemnation
In our grim devastation.
Osama Bin Laden, that pompous ascetic
This raving fanatic sealed his doom prophetic.
The mighty whirlwind upon his head we shall sow
That peace again might someday grow.
We did not strike a first telling blow
Though time and time again had reason to do so.

America, time to roll up your sleeves
To restore again that sanctity freedom leaves.
We always turned the other cheek
Did not in the past “Infinite Justice” seek
Now out of sanctimonious hate
To he who sights of carnage elate
Terrorists have crossed the final line
Went too far for the last time!
No, we did not strike the first blow
But will gladly the last blow bestow!

Our arrow to Osama Bin Laden’s heart sings
A siren’s song bullet with his name on it brings
Out of the mouth of America’s frustration
Payback for despicable horror that rocked a nation
Fly on angels of right avenging
Upon the head of unwashed infidel descending
From him exact just recompense
Seek for evil done, full rights redress.
Good men, must rise to stop in this world, madmen!

We shall sow our almighty sword in thunder
To plow his evil machinations under
With our strong right hand
A united band
Our sovereign nations
Repulsed by unholy terrorism’s creations
Who spread its great sacrilege to laced winds asunder
Terrorist’s unrighteous dominions plunder.

Obliterate this obnoxious desert warrior
Spouting hateful rhetoric with sanctimonious fervor
Inciting his evil congregation
Shamelessly insolent in monstrous presumption
Blaspheming the very name of God
This lunatic fringe in righteous facade
Bringing distilled tears to angels who weep.
See them paid in like kind for sins they reap.

Good men of the world, roll up your sleeves
Seek that which our world’s oppression relieves
Old warriors walked the valley of shadowed wars
Thought we’d closed behind us senseless doors
Talking now of peace with war-no-more…
But now war’s banged through America’s front door
Struck at our very heart beyond freedom’s shore
Marching up Main Street heading for your door!
This is no more a far and away senseless war!

I ponder the only solution in justice retribution
To bind terror with its just reward
To send back to Hell that malignant horde
Back to the master who made them
Inspired them
For they will not stop,
Or to good flip-flop
Whose voice knells of tarnation come ringing
Choirs of demonic angel’s discordantly singing
Echoing in empty halls of damnation mingling.

Swoop down on that madman like an eagle
From bastions of liberty in our asphalt jungle
His black-hearted, diabolic plans boggle
Pluck him out of sinister desert lair
From where he’s unleashed such fiendish despair
Wrest him from wicked shadows hiding place
Where he abides by henchmen’s harboring grace.
From this world his fanatical, unclean soul erase!

Yes, America must roll up our sleeves
But let us beware
This will not be battle we deem fair.
These men hate us with every fiber of being
Dedicated in moral conviction more than willing
Anxious to give their lives in dying committing
A ferociously dedicated, intelligent adversary.
America is by far the stronger nation militarily
But physical strength is less important than
conviction morally.

We too must be morally committed
We must be equally for the long haul dedicated
For this fight will not be short and swift
To excise the demon from fissured rift
For the infidel by conscience led
Wants no victory without us or them dead
Or as proverbs lament
This indeed will be the winter of our discontent.

To ferret the infidel out we must make decision
Among innocent teaming masses ridden
To incise the cancerous lesion
For it is far too easy for civilization
To turn toward barbarism
Pluck out cankered disease with surgical incision
Root out evil with exacting precision
Excise without killing the body of public opinion.
For when tempestuously uncaring becomes our hate
It buries us in a pit even beneath them we hate.

So America, roll up your sleeves
For everywhere around us the madness unfolds
Till we question how our sanity holds
There is much work to be done
That will carry us far beyond setting sun.
Where they think us complacently soft
Show them resolve hard
Wean them from all support bereft
With steeled resolve, be not afeard
We are in for a fight!
For these strange men won’t vanish into the night.
