A TRIBUTE TO SEPTEMBER 11th: A DAY TO REMEMBER
Shall we never again have to wage war, but stand firmly for freedom and peace?
God Bless Our Heroes!!
On a bright sunny morn 11th day of September
A day of great loss, one we will always remember
The day that America fell to her knees in despair
As a great terror had risen, delivered by air
It tore through our flesh as we watched it explode
The loss of so many as the tragedy unfold
A nation so strong, was attacked from the skies
As we tried to deny what was seen with our eyes
We felt our hearts racing as the hate filled within
Then the next thing we knew, it had happened again
Another plane ripped through the second great tower
An attack on a nation who possessed such great power
As the buildings collapsed not a thing could be done
As the third plane crashed into the US Pentagon
And little was known about the flight in despair
Over Pennsylvania our heroes fought back in mid-air
A great nation fell down that day to their knees
With prayers of mercy and innocent pleas
So many would give their lives on that day
Leaving memories that linger and won't go away
Our country is strong and will not appease
As our words are now spoken upon calloused knees.
Our faith in our God showed strength on that morn
You united a country as our faith was reborn.
Your terrorist act did not destroy our will,
Nor the souls that remained of those that you killed
Your attempt to destroy our country went wrong
Through the sacrifice of heroes our nation's still strong.
America now knows she trust not another
Except those who United by loss of our brother
She's stronger then ever and freedom prevailed
God Bless Our America while your soul rots in hell.
