LIGHT THE CANDLE
Another year had come and gone;
One memory that remains
Is September 11, 2001.
Forever in our hearts,
those, who pay the cost,
Will never be forgotten.
We still remember,
What has happened,
We will never forget,
Our Nation’s reaction.
I will light a candle
For 9-11.
I will light it
Out of love.
Love for those
whom lived and died,
Love for those,
Still asking, Why?
I will also light a candle
For the victims,
In loving Honor.
Honor for those
Who died for us.
Honor for those
whose lives were lost.
I light both these candles,
and ask that you do the same;
Show our Nation our love,
For we show no shame.

FALLEN SENTINELS
Two big brothers,
Proud and tall,
Stood their ground,
And took the fall.
Within their walls,
Were many souls,
Souls of people,
Great and small.
Over 3000 lives,
Were lost that day,
The memories remain,
They will never go away.
Dark days followed,
After the dust went away,
Many died,
Many forever pray.
War was called,
Upon a country,
For what they did,
To our hearts,
And families.
Some day soon,
We will rebuild,
Some day soon,
War will be nil.
For now our hearts,
Pour out our love,
To those brave souls,
Who were sent above.
God protect us,
In our time of need,
God protect those,
Who still grieve.

A BLACK BIRD IN SEPTEMBER
Wings Black as Coal,
Body just as so,
Rests upon a tombstone,
Of one who has expired,
And gone to someplace higher.
Its Caw is Loud,
Its Flight just as swift,
A Journey is now,
About to begin.
Bird of Death,
And of Life,
Caws to those,
Who died in Vain,
To take them to Heaven,
When there will be Peace again.

TIRED FROM CRYING
Tired from crying for 9-11;
For all the souls who went to Heaven
Watched TV to kill the silence,
President Bush called for possible war,
War upon a country,
One for which I do not care for.
But for the people who are innocent,
I wish they did not have to endure,
The pain and suffering at our hand,
Or from the man who rules their land.
Tired of the tears, anger and pain,
I wish it would all just go away.

TOWERS TO ASHES
Towers to ashes they both fell down,
Shattering of glass and other horrific sounds,
Memories remain in those who still mourn,
The terror that happened, that September Morn,
Towers became ashes, these twins that did fall,
The memories remain on those who still live on.
