STILL THEY CRY

Sometimes late at night,
I hear a silent cry.

For those lives that were lost,
For those who paid the cost?

We may never know,
All the heroes of that fateful day.

But we will heed their cry,
And rebuild some day.

They braved the horrors,
Faced the enemy.

They died for their country,
Saved many families.

Though, they are gone,
They are not forgotten.

The brave souls,
That saved our country.
