THE FERAL CAT

The feral cat lives in the barn
He sleeps days in a bed of hay
He hunts for mice on the farm
From midnight to break of day

He is a creature of the night
He wanders his entire domain
If he meets another tom, he’ll fight
It is his territory he’ll claim

When a lady cat he meets
They sing cat songs into the night
Listening to them is no treat
Better to hear two tom cats fight

The feral cat lives in the barn
Kittens stay close to mother
They’ll hunt for mice on the farm
Four little sisters and a brother
