GLORIA
Gloria wore a five gallon hat
Her brother’s hat was ten
On a leather saddle she sat
On her horse whose name was Ben
She wore two Colt forty-fours
Ben had a silver breast plate
She wore them during chores
But took them off for her date
Her date was the local black smith
A mighty strong man was he
He was a little hard to dance with
She didn’t know where his hands would be
She danced with the smith all night
And he wooed her on the stoop
She had to tie his hands up tight
With the end of her lariat loop
