FREEDOM
I’ve seen freedom sold by the yard
With a price no one can pay
No soldier ever fought as hard
As the champion of a free man’s way
Freedom is an elusive quest
True liberty was never free
Guarding armies never rest
When they fight for you and me
Keeping a way of life that’s free
Where no oppressive tyranny springs
Soldiers pay the ultimate for liberty
And a country where freedom rings
On every November Veteran’s Day
We thank those who freedom gave
They are the ones who made the way
Some paid with an early grave
