HOMELESS IN TIME
The snow’s deep, the weight of it
upon their quarters bears
down on them. Stomachs empty
except for pain.
Minds wonder of brighter days
that now are lost with time that passed.
Family and friends lost, who still care,
wants peace for them, cares where they may be.
Empty within the hearts for dreams and love
that may return them to life needed to
give back the days time has taken away.
Holes in wardrobe,
under the stars and sky,
sharing time that has past
remember a life left behind.
Who will remember and share
their homeless life in time?
