VIETNAM
Too many dead; too many lost;
Too long a war; too great the cost.
They knew their country needed them.
They didn't know why.
They knew they had to try.
What did they come home to, parties or parades?
No, just some cruel Americans slandering their names.
The horrors of that jungle we may never know.
It's something Vietnam Veterans may never let go.
Maybe we can help them, if we try to understand.
They were just young soldiers, in a foreign far-a-way land.
Let's help them find their POWs/MIAs;
Their families need some peace.
Let's give them credit, give them fame
For they are Heroes, just the same.
