Ernie, a disabled Vietnam Veteran who lives in St Petersburg, Florida, started to write poetry as part of his counseling for PTSD and found he could open his heart and mind and unlock the thoughts and memories held deep within. He has since been able to hear, with his heart, the words of my native ancestors and the Creator. Many of his poems are their words; he believes that he is but the messenger.
