HEAVY METAL MELODY

They are rattlin’ chains…
clinkin’ and chimin’…

ever so softly…
not all can hear…
just the anointed ones…
to whom freedoms are dear
and freedom for all..
not just a chosen few

They are rattlin’ chains…

do you hear their call…
set the records straight
They no longer chose to wait
Call it what it was… a sin
A sin of slavery and greed…
spawned by the devil’s seed

They are rattlin’ chains…

There still remain countries
where a human body is owned
and their will is not their own
even their beloved children..
are chattels of their master..
living in slavery’s disaster

They are rattlin’ chains…

We can never relax and dance
while there is even a chance
that these mournful sounds linger
and there are those in its danger
Freedom for all should be shinin’
They are rattlin’ chains…

Clinkin’ and chimin’…
