BUT… WITH RESPECT

You wrote a good assertive poem
I read it and when I was done
I could find no fault
but if it is a true one…
meaning no disrespect
… but what the heck
violence breeds violence
It is not of love’s essence
I need to tell you…
speaking as a friend…
There is only one life you own
so be very careful
for it could end…
