ACCOMPANY ME

This trek across the valley of life’s hinterland
Is long… and sometimes tiresome
It seems… so far… to the lights
shinning on the distant mountains…
… If you will just walk with me…
it will not be as fearsome… as walking alone
I will not be faint… if you will accompany me…
And, if I must… I will leave you… somewhere along the way…
And wait for you… in the mountains… on a brighter day
