GOD’S GRACE

Indonesia…
death toll nearing five thousand
… ravished by earthquakes
lashed by rains
survivors scrounging for food
… praying for fresh water
lamenting their grief
for each son and daughter

God’s grace… it is coming…
will it come too late…
Some in the wake of Katrina still wait
Today the Pope walked the mazes
of Auschwitz and Birkenau
and prayed in German for the souls lost there
… a measure of God’s Grace…
but so late… so late…
