VIOLET DREAM
A fitful sleep comes over me
although I toss and turn
I am afraid to fall asleep
I fear what I might learn
the news and photographs I’ve seen
replay again and again
I am in the jungle; or the desert
I run in place; I cannot win.
I know that when I wake up,
nothing will be as it seems
I’m blinded by a purple haze ~
It’s just one of the Violet Dreams…
