THEY…
They are the protectors and the presence
the saviors and the swords
the peacekeepers and the vigilant…
They’re only flesh and bone –
easily destroyed
here today and gone tomorrow
leaving us in eternal sorrow;
They are our starlit moons
and our morning suns;
They –
are the Nation’s Guardians.
