Squinting into the sun
What’s that out there,
out near the tree line;
The glint of a gun?
So tired, so hot
leaving tomorrow…
One day to go
to get out of this sorrow
One more glance
out into the sun
definitely “somebodies” out there
with more than one gun
Ghostman has never
felt more alone
tracers all night
and the spitting of night-fire
Only one day to go,
God,
let me go home…
