THE PHANTOMS OF FEAR

God in his unreasoning has flung the gauntlets to sanctify war.
On wings riding the crippling golden cord exploiting carnage.
The ringmaster stands alone.
Here in no man's land running with the beast.
Erupting from the valley of the shadows.
Ominously tasting the fear of darkness.
The carnivorous fear is ravenous.
Softly in the silence violence is creeping.
The silent shadows are resounding.
The perfume of death is carried by the wind.
The silent echo from the sniper.
I have heard the thunder fall like rain.
The phantoms ride the carousel of war.
Oh how fragile the fear.
Blinded by the ungodly horror of fear.
Frozen in fear pale to the bone.
The barbaric demons are not slumbering in the twilight.
The jungle of hell snarls fiercely.
Under the rancid umbrella lay the slaughtered?
Shackled to the ancient beast.
Walking the edge of the phantom steps.
Till this day the raging battles still roar.
The journey traveled is imbedded and binds my mind.
Trembling rage still devours me.
Looking into the kaleidoscope of crimson dreams.
Ravaged and torn by blood stained nightmares.
The crescendo of nightmares bleeds through my eyes.
The heinous images will be engraved forever.
From horrendous horrors buried so deep.
Lying low when time is hushed.
Quiet despair falls pirouetting around.
In their shelters they silently cry.
Can anyone hear the silent primal screams?
Balancing between the shadow of death.
In the season's of youth.
Deflowered in the innocents of blood.
The innocents come haggard and savaged.
Torturous dreams have captured hollow eyes.
Where are the wizards of there youth?
When they possessed the magical dreams of time.
Where are the scared velvet nights without fury or peril?
All the bridges have vanished.
The pale phantoms of twilight never diminish.
In their minds the ghostly horrors still resonate.
Who will be the pallbearers to lay these broken bodies to rest?
Into the graveyard of oblivion we shall relinquish our souls.
Where are the frozen times not touched with tears?
For death will wail once again.
