Marlene Ryan is a senior citizen living in Palm Beach County, Florida. She continues to work as a typesetter which she has been doing for 39 years. Being a reunited birth mother after years, her passion is adoption issues and helping lost love ones find each other.

PEACEFUL PRAYER

Dear God up in that massive sky;
Don’t let me sit at home and cry

To think that my poor lover went;
Just like the others that you sent

To fight this war so we’ll have peace;
So let us pray for it to cease

And when our boys come home someday;
I’ll kneel in church like this and pray

To thank the Lord for being free;
That he is home here safe with me
