Seventeen, where have all the years gone
It seems just yesterday I held you in my arms
Rocking you and singing to you
And protecting you from harm

Now you have grown into a young man
Chasing the girl down the street
You are with Jessie more than at home
You rarely even come here to eat

I have loved you always
And know you have loved me too
I’m proud of you for who you are
I just wish time wouldn’t have flew

Still I get my goodnight hug
And always an “I Love You”
You have become a great young man
So I have no reason to be blue

I love you Zach and happy 17th
And for the rest of your life
Jessie is a wonderful girl
