It’s said that clothes will make the man
Then I’m a clown indeed
A ball cap, tee shirt, and some jeans
Is all I ever need

Ain’t much on being fancy
I’m just plain and simple too
And judging books by covers
Isn’t something that I do

That’s just the way I am I know
Some things you cannot fix
I learned that oil and water
Are two things you shouldn’t mix

Now momma always taught us
In our lessons from the start
That the only thing worth judging
Was the size of someone’s heart
