STILL DRIFTING

It’s been inferred I be interred
For lack of sanity
As much too proud, and far too loud
I sing this song in me

Don’t take it wrong, it’s just my song
And part of it is rhyme
Been told before, to lose the war
I’m wasting all my time

For many years I’ve spoke of tears
And what was there to see
Inside the night, inside the fight
Of those who fought to free

Until the end I’ll try my friend
To tell you of them true
Can’t say it right but that’s alright
It’s all that I can do
