I’ve tried for many years
To simply tell you of them all
For those who never speak of it,
For those who had to fall

I tried to say it best I could
In all this fading light
To tell you what they did back then
Back in those days of fight

I wanted you to understand
Just what they all went through;
Knowing that there are no words
To tell you of them true

Don’t think I’ll ever get it done
These words I try to say
But I can’t let the silence reign
And simply walk away
