MINDLESS
My gun was silent, knees were bent
The anger in my heart was spent
Unleashed this fury, found today
Had come and gone and had its say
But what remained at battles end
No longer could I comprehend
Another shadowed raging son
Too far from home and near undone
That vision in my mind resides
A wound they could not sterilize
For in that madness I did find
Indeed we all had lost our mind
Still as we tear this world apart
In search of peace, a brand new start
Can’t let the pain this world can give
Dictate to us how we will live
