COUNTRY OF HOPE
One year has turned another page
In the book of time we do add age
Eleven score and eight years seen
With a vision for hope so pristine
From the start we lived to be free
Finding roads to improve liberty
We have had many trials to meet
Through strength avoided defeat
This road we now travel is rough
Decisions will surely grow tough
To triumph, we need to be strong
Keep God close at hand all along
Stand by our brave who well serve
Our freedom they proudly preserve
Pray now for this Fourth we share
We’ve survived because many care
This country of hope has so thrived
We are blessed having freedom’s ride
Be proud as you stand for Independence Day
Please remember the cost in lives taken away
