IT’S HARD TO SAY GOODBYE

It’s hard to say goodbye
When someone loved is gone.
Yet we must, in spite of pain,
We all must carry on.

It’s hard to say goodbye
To a longtime trusted friend.
I’ll remember you in fondness.
I’ll remember you again.

It’s hard to say goodbye
With an aching heavy heart;
To live as one for so long
Then suddenly apart.

It’s hard to think of you as gone.
We don’t know what to say.
Yet know that we will all be strong
And will meet again someday.
