IWVPA FRIENDS
(An Adaptation)

There is "Dime a dozen', "one in a million"
For friends move in and out of this life sublime.
Good friends, fair friends, then there's Tony's World -
Poets who understand the passion of a lifetime.

Never a fear over the words we say.
We pour out hearts, cry and laugh
To steadfast friends who lovingly sift,
And keep the wheat, ignore the chaff.

And though now and then threads may break
In these ties that bind our hearts as one,
Shared experience and passion compassion creates,
Making stronger friends when day is done.
