This autumn day
It’s finally here
The planning’s done
For it’s been a year

She looks so radiant

Family and friends
Are gathered around
Tears of joy
Are sure to abound

I remember the past
When did it change
It happened so fast

Little girl ribbons
Little girl lace
Now a beautiful woman
Takes the place

Of the bride my daughter
I want all to know
I’m proud of her
I want it to show

He’s captured her soul
But I hold her heart
The role of a father
Will never depart

With a fatherly kiss
I give her away
