MY CLAIM TO FAME

Andy Warhol once said,
“We will all have
15 minutes of fame
in our lifetime.”
If this be true,
I want to spend my time
doing good upon this earth.
My claim to fame
will not be a name
A prize I will not claim
My picture not in a frame
I won’t win at a game
but help with the lame
I may feel your pain
this be my aim
To bring joy to the living
of myself I am giving
If you call this fame
I shall exclaim,
“It is only love!”
