Good Morning Veterans; how are you?
On this day of days to honor you
We hope you’re feeling good today
Thank you is what we want to say.

Thank You!

Two simple words with so much to convey
Meant for all of you, each and every day
Not a day should go by without someone’s smile
A thank-you, a hug, once in a while
You’ve seen how the other side of life can be
Braving it all for a land to be free
I hope we realize what that meant
As boys became men you soldiers went
You got your orders and did as told
In jungles heat and winters cold
In deserts bold and foreign lands
Each and every one of you took a stand

11th month, 11th day, 11th hour
An Armistice signed, America’s power
Recognition of a war’s end
The flag and country to defend
War after war and through the years
Men fought and died living their fears
To keep us safe and freedom free
So America can belong to you and me
How grateful we are and want to say
Thank You Veterans on Veterans Day.
