MOTHERS
"Dear God" starts her mornings; "Amen" ends her nights,
With many tears shed between darkness and first light.
She gives all she has to the family she adores,
When running on empty, she'll always give more.
With shoulders of steel and arms made to hug,
There's no greater gift than a Mother's sweet love.
A gift from Creator, His most perfect by far,
An Angel of Mercy with a tender, brave heart.
No matter the reason or time of the day,
A Mother is ready for what comes her way.
All shapes and sizes, colors and creed,
Mothers are known as a most unique breed.
She may not be rich in the eyes of the world;
The wealth of a Mother lies in each boy and girl.
From tea parties to make up, proms and first dates,
To soccer on Saturdays and fishing at the lake.
She's the ultimate hostess for birthdays and camp outs,
The world's greatest doctor for colds latest bouts.
With kids off to college or married at last,
A Mother reflects on years that have passed.
"Dear God, I do thank you, for I have been blessed,
In being a Mother, You gave me the best."
God smiles on His creation as her wings softly soar,
"Welcome home daughter, now I need you more."
