I’LL SEE YOU IN OUR MOON
As soft as her whisper, the ocean winds blow,
While his ship heads out to sea.
He’s sailing to places he’s never been,
For, in freedom, his heart believes.
With one look behind him, to the home he adores,
He silently bows his head to pray,
‘Lord, guide my steps to serve with the best,
And walk with me each step of the way.’
His eyes turn to Heaven, lit from within,
A million stars burning so bright.
Lost in a world of God’s awesome grace,
A lone tear slips from his eyes.
There’s no greater love that a man can bestow,
Than to gladly lay his life down;
For a Warrior gives all to this life he has chose,
When marching o’er God’s hallowed ground.
He’s left behind family and the love of his life,
A lady he’ll love from afar.
Remembering their song, ‘When you miss me the most,
We’ll both be wishing on that same star.’
Holding on tight to all that he knows,
His lonely heart hums a sad tune;
‘When you’re feeling lost and needing my love,
You’ll find me right there in our Moon.’
